Scottish terrier, or scottie, is alittle tough terrier then the other. Scotties are fast and have a muscular body and neck (a typical neck size is 14 inches), often appearing to be barrel chest. they are short-legged, compact and solidly built, with head extended in proportion to their size.

That scottie should have giant claws adapted for digging. erect ears and tail are salient features of the breed one. their eyes are small, bright and almond-shaped and dark brown or almost black.

Height at the withers for either sex should be about ten inches long, and of course long back from the withers to the tail is about eleven inches. usually balanced scottie dog should weigh 19-22 pounds 18-21 pounds while bitch.

Scottie which usually has a, tiring thin, long, weather-resistant outer coat while soft dense under coat. sometimes trimmed coat and mixed, utilizing long coat in the beard, eyebrows, legs and lower body - traditionally shaggy-to-the-ground. peak, ears, tail and back are traditionally trimmed short.
